Durham Classic Car Show is back. This free event is being staged in Durham on August Bank Holiday Monday, a great reason to come back into the city centre safely!
Durham Classic Car Show fills the city centre with over 100 cars, with vehicles displayed on Palace Green, in the Market Place, in Millennium Place and on Framwellgate Bridge. These will include a Lancia Integrale Evo Marque, a Delorean, a Ford Zodiac and a Ford Consul. The day’s events are free to attend, with the public invited to photograph the exhibited cars and chat with owners. Alongside the exhibitions, there will be live music in the Market Place and Millennium Place and free activities for children including a Treasure Trail, face painting and Bugs ‘n’ Stuff exhibits.
James Wilson, Deputy Manager of Durham Markets Company, commented: “Many people have a passion for cars and this day is definitely going to be a must for them. But it’s also for everyone, all ages and all the family. Such is the vast array of vehicles on display in Durham City Centre on Bank Holiday Monday that it will make quite a spectacle, and with special events to appeal to the youngsters, it’s going to be great day out in Durham.”
Durham Classic Car Show events take place on Bank Holiday Monday, August 30th, also from 11am to 4pm. For the latest updates and details for both events go to durhammarkets.co.uk/event/
